Danao Adventure Park
Danao Adventure Park — formally E.A.T. Danao, for Eco, Educational, Extreme Adventure Tour — is Bohol’s highland adventure park, built along the rim of the Wahig River gorge well inland from the coast. Almost everything here happens over a canyon: the Plunge drops you into it, the Suislide crosses it, the Sky Ride floats above it and the Giant Swing throws you out over it. It is also a long drive from the beaches, which is why most visitors arrange a private vehicle and driver for the day rather than stitching the journey together on their own.

- Danao Adventure Park — also known as E.A.T. Danao, for Eco, Educational, Extreme Adventure Tour — is a 144-hectare eco-adventure park in Barangay Magtangtang, in the municipality of Danao, set in the Wahig River valley in Bohol’s mountainous interior. The town’s name is coined from “lanao”, a local word for land overflowed with water.
- The Plunge is the headline ride and the reason most people come: a canyon swing whose launch platform sits roughly 280 metres above the canyon floor, with about 70 metres of vertical free fall — around five seconds of it — before a 200-metre swing arrests you. You choose whether to be dropped lying down or sitting.
- The Suislide is the zipline, and it is two lines rather than one: roughly 480 metres out across the gorge, then about 460 metres back, with a short walk of a few minutes between the two. It can be ridden solo or in pairs.
- The Sky Ride is the park’s cable car and its gentlest ride — set around 280 metres above the ground and moving slowly, so it is the one for anyone in the group who would rather look at the gorge than fall into it.
- The Giant Swing lets the rider decide how far up the arc to go, to a maximum of about 100 metres, before being swung out over the cliffside above the Wahig River.
- Away from the height rides, the park has run root climbing with rappel, mountain trekking to the sea-of-clouds viewpoint, and river kayaking, tubing and caving on and around the Wahig.
- Which activities are actually open varies, so it is worth confirming before you fix a date. The park was knocked back twice — by the pandemic and by Typhoon Odette, which cost it attractions including its glass cliff-walk — and reopened in stages: as of a July 2022 report only four rides were running, with the hamster wheel and zip bike still being brought online.
- The park is owned and run by the local government, every member of staff is from Danao, and part of the income pays for free tertiary education for Danaoans — it is one of the municipality’s main sources of funds, so a day here goes back into the town.
- The municipality of Danao is the birthplace of Francisco Dagohoy, the Boholano leader who established his independent government here; the town later served as a World War II concentration camp for prisoners during the Japanese occupation.
- Early risers can pair the park with the Danao Sea of Clouds, a morning cloud-formation viewpoint in Barangay Magtangtang.

- Danao is a long inland drive from the coast, so most visitors make it a full-day outing. Tell us your pickup point and preferred start time and we will be honest about what fits comfortably.
- Tell us which rides you are actually going for. The Plunge, the Suislide and the Giant Swing are the ones people travel for, and knowing which of them matters to you changes how early we collect you and how long the driver waits.
- Confirm with the park which activities are open for your date before you commit to it. The line-up has changed repeatedly since the pandemic and Odette, and a long day inland is a wasted one if the ride you came for is closed. Ask us and we will check with them for you.
- Park fees are separate from a transport quote and are charged per activity, not as one gate price: there is an entrance fee on arrival and then each ride is priced on its own. That is why there is no single all-in park figure to give you — and we do not print the numbers, because the ones circulating on travel blogs disagree with each other and go out of date. The park publishes its current rates and opening hours on its own channels.
- If you want the Sea of Clouds too, you need an early start — it forms in the morning. Say so and we will plan the pickup around dawn.
- Wear clothes you can move in and leave loose items in the vehicle — the driver stays with your bags while you are on the rides.

None of it is part of a transport quote either way — what we price is the vehicle, the driver and the waiting time for the day. How far is Danao Adventure Park from Panglao or Tagbilaran?
It is a long inland drive into Bohol’s mountainous interior, well beyond the usual coastal day-trip belt. That is exactly why a private vehicle with a driver makes sense: you go up in the morning, ride, and come back without thinking about the road. Can we combine Danao with the Chocolate Hills or other Bohol stops?
It is possible, but Danao sits well inland and the drive back to the coast means the day gets long quickly, so most people give it its own day rather than stacking it onto the Chocolate Hills loop. If you want to try, send us the full list of stops and we will be honest with you about what fits.
What time should we leave to make the most of the day?
