Getafe port to Panglao

What to include in your request

Getafe is a coastal municipality on Bohol's north shore, facing the Visayan Sea, so a Getafe arrival puts you on the opposite coast from Panglao. The road runs inland and south-west through Buenavista, Inabanga, Clarin, Catigbi-an, San Isidro and Antequera, down through Maribojoc and Cortes into Tagbilaran City, then over the causeway bridges to Dauis and on to Panglao. It is a single road journey — there is no second boat to catch once you are ashore.
This is a different shape of drive from the Tubigon arrival, even though both are northern gateways. Tubigon's road hugs the west coast the whole way down; the Getafe run cuts inland across the middle of the island before it rejoins the coast road near Maribojoc. Neither is a coastal cruise you would book for the view — they are transfers, and we quote them as such.
The crossing itself is the constraint worth planning around. OceanJet publishes its Cebu–Getafe service as three sailings a day in each direction rather than the all-day fast-craft frequency on Cebu–Tagbilaran, so a shifted or missed boat has far fewer fallbacks. Give us the sailing you hold, not just the date, and we build the pickup around it.
If your stay is on Panglao and the sailing times still give you a real choice, Tagbilaran is the simpler arrival — it docks in the capital a short run from the same bridges. Getafe earns its place when it is the crossing that fits your day, or when you are staying up on the north coast anyway.
Say how many bags you have and whether anything is bulky — dive gear, golf clubs, a surfboard, a wheelchair. The whole run is with your luggage aboard, so the vehicle has to be sized for the bags as well as the seats.

A good part of this drive is inland and it is done in the dark at that point, so if you would rather break the trip or be dropped somewhere closer than Alona we will say so in the quote instead of on the day.

Is there another boat between Getafe and Panglao?

No. Once you are ashore at Getafe the rest is a road journey: inland and south-west through Buenavista, Inabanga, Clarin, Catigbi-an, San Isidro and Antequera, down through Maribojoc and Cortes into Tagbilaran City, then over the causeway bridges onto Dauis and Panglao. There is no second crossing to catch or miss.

How often does the Getafe ferry run?

OceanJet's published daily schedule carries three Cebu–Getafe sailings in each direction. That is a real service but not a frequent one — the Cebu–Tagbilaran fast craft runs far more often — so there is little slack if a boat shifts or sells out. Book the crossing first and treat it as the fixed point your Bohol day is built around, then tell us which sailing you hold.

Should I arrive at Getafe or Tagbilaran if I am staying on Panglao?

Tagbilaran, if the sailing times give you a genuine choice. It docks in the capital a short run from the bridges onto Panglao, where Getafe is right up on the north coast and means crossing the island by road. Getafe is the right call when it is the sailing that actually fits your day, or when part of your stay is on that side of Bohol — and we quote either arrival the same way.

Can you take us somewhere other than Alona Beach on Panglao?

Yes. Name the resort or address in the quote form and the drive ends there. Panglao is a whole island rather than one strip, so a run to Alona and a run to a quieter part of the coast are different journeys and we price the one you actually want.
